Anna Lisa Somma is a PhD student in Italian Studies at the University of Birmingham (UK). Her current research focuses on the representation of female-female love and desire in early modern Italian literature. Her interests include gender studies, early modern history, history of sexuality, history of women, and Renaissance art.
