Morgan Ng

Morgan Ng is a PhD student in architectural history at Harvard University, where he is completing a dissertation on statecraft, secrecy and the development of military architecture in sixteenth century Italy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University. Since beginning his graduate studies, he has held a visiting fellowship at Villa I Tatti, and has collaborated on the Uffizi Gallery’s Progetto Euploos. His publications appear in Word & Image (2014), and the Journal of Medieval and Early Modern Studies (forthcoming, 2015). With the Medici Archive Project he is researching an internationally prominent network of fortification experts from Urbino who were active in the grand ducal Tuscany and across northern Europe.
