Alastair Short is President of Apex Capital, a personal investment vehicle. He is the former Vice Chairman of W.P. Stewart and Co., Inc., a publicly traded asset management firm, and the co-founder, President and a Director of Matrix Global Investments, Inc. in New York City. Matrix specialized in investing in asset management business.

Mr. Short was the co-founder and principal of Apex Capital Corporation, a private buy-out firm that acquired businesses jointly with management. He has worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at a privately held investment-banking firm, and is an attorney by training. He is based in New York City.

Mr. Short has been on the MAP Board of Trustees since July 1997 and currently serves as Board Treasurer.
